Microsoft Training in Northern California

Empire College has designed the Microsoft Solutions Expert program especially for the I.T. professional looking for hands-on MCSE certification preparation training in the quickest time possible – 24 weeks.

Objective: Tailored for those with previous I.T. work experience, the Microsoft Solutions Expert program is designed to give the I.T. professional experience in designing, deploying, and administering network infrastructure using Microsoft Windows. At the end of the program the student should have acquired the skills and tools to achieve the MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert) Server Infrastructure certification.

Empire College is a Microsoft Imagine partner and uses a teaching program that is prescribed by Microsoft in order to prepare graduates for certification as Microsoft Certified Professionals (MCP) at the product level.

Our graduates are prepared for the following certifications:

  • Microsoft certification at the product level (MCP-Microsoft Certified Professional) in 4 areas:
    • Installing and Configuring Windows Server 2012
    • Administering Windows Server 2012
    • Configuring Advanced Windows Server 2012 Services
    • Designing and Implementing a Server Infrastructure
  • MCSA (Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate) Windows Server 2012: With completion of the three MCP certifications, the student will have achieved the highly regarded MCSA: Windows Server 2012 certification.
    • Installing and Configuring Windows Server 2012
    • Administering Windows Server 2012
    • Configuring Advanced Windows Server 2012 Services
  • MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert) Server Infrastructure: With completion of four MCP certifications (Installing and Configuring Windows Server 2012, Administering Windows Server 2012, Configuring Advanced Windows Server 2012 Services, and Designing and Implementing a Server Infrastructure), the student will have achieved the highly regarded MCSE: Cloud Platform and Infrastructure certification.

Expected Educational Outcomes: Upon completing the Microsoft Solutions Expert program, students will have demonstrated:

  1. The ability to provide customer and user support for computer systems and networking products, including Microsoft Windows client and server operating systems, cross platform connectivity, and numerous software products
  2. The ability to create a complete network infrastructure using Microsoft client and server operating systems
  3. An understanding of Microsoft Windows operating systems, including setup, configuration, and file and user management, as well as router configuration
  4. The critical thinking skills required to analyze network connectivity problems and make necessary judgments to troubleshoot hardware and software
  5. The ability to interact with users/customers in a professional, businesslike manner

Program Length: 2 quarters (24 weeks)
A diploma will be awarded upon successful completion of all graduation requirements.
