Specialized Associate Degree in Accounting

This accountant degree program covers managerial accounting, payroll accounting, tax accounting, cost accounting and much more.
Objective: This comprehensive degree program is designed to prepare you for positions as a full-charge bookkeeper or junior-level accountant with companies in California and all across the country.
General education classes emphasize decision-making, human relations and critical thinking, while accounting courses prepare students for bookkeeping, payroll, Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS), IRS VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) and QuickBooks certification examinations through the National Bookkeepers Association.
In addition, our degree program places strong emphasis on computerized spreadsheets, word processing and computerized accounting. A 120-hour internship is included for students who meet certain requirements. As a graduate, you can have the skills you need to pursue the industry certifications employers look for.
Program Length: 7 quarters
A specialized (occupational) Associate degree is awarded upon successful completion of all college graduation requirements.
