Carol Reinke

Education: Masters in Business Administration with a minor in Information Systems from City University, Bellevue, WA. Bachelor of Arts with a major in Liberal Studies and a concentration in Accounting from Sonoma State University. Clear Multi-subject Teaching Credential.

Certifications: MOUS - Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word. A+ certification. Online Instruction certification. Tax Preparation certification.

Professional Experience: Ms. Reinke has over 25 years of experience in practicing and teaching accounting. She is a controller for a small company in Santa Rosa and works for the IRS VITA program during tax season.

Memberships: Ms. Reinke is secretary for the Redwood Chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) and a member of the American Accounting Association. She is also the faculty advisor for the Empire IMA Student Chapter.

History at Empire College: Ms. Reinke teaches all accounting subjects, including fundamentals, cost, and tax accounting. She has been with Empire since 2002.

History at Empire College: Ms. Harness has been teaching Fundamentals of Accounting, math and software classes since 2007.

Carl Oeschger

Education: Bachelor of Arts in Economics from San Diego State University; Diploma in the Computer Support Specialist program from Empire College

Certificates and Memberships: CompTIA A+ Certification; memberships in the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) and the American Association of Accountants (AAA)

Professional Experience: Mr. Oeschger is a decorated combat veteran of the United States Army, serving in the United States, Germany, Saudi Arabia, and Iraq. He has previous experience in Production Control and Materials Management in the fields of Biomedical and Electronics.

History at Empire College: Mr. Oeschger has been an instructor at Empire College for over 13 years, teaching a variety of disciplines. While his area of expertise is in Accounting and Bookkeeping, Carl also teaches classes on Personal Development, Mathematics, Human Relations, Management, Computer Hardware and Networking, and various software products such as Microsoft Office and QuickBooks. Carl also teaches Career Transitions, which President Roy O. Hurd has described as “one of the most important classes the College teaches.” Carl has also served as the Assistant Director of Education.
